Class Name: ImprovPlay

Grades: Grades 6-8 (kids of other ages may be able to participate at instructor’s discretion - email classes@pepperellcommunityarts.org

Class Description:  An exciting class fostering creativity, teamwork, and confidence through spontaneous storytelling and performance. The class features icebreakers, storytelling games, and improv techniques. Students learn the fundamentals of improvisation like scene work, active listening, and thinking on their feet. Through collaborative scene work, students apply their newfound skills in a supportive environment. Positive feedback and encouragement boost their self-expression and self-assurance. The class culminates in a fun performance showcase where they can demonstrate their abilities to friends and family. Benefits include enhanced creativity, improved communication, and boosted self-confidence. Students develop social skills and enjoy laughter and joy as they create memorable scenes together.

Class Day: 6 Tuesdays, make-up day for any cancellations will be on a Tues at the same time

Fall Session 2: Nov 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec 12, 19 (NO CLASS Dec 5) 

Class Time: 5:30-6:20pm

Class Length: 50 minutes

Session Fee: $180 ($30 per class)

Minimum: 4

Maximum: 15
