Class Name: TECH CLASS for performance workshop

Instructor: Sean Falsey - class coordinator, along with possible guest instructors that will come in to teach about the following: set design, stage management, sound, & lighting.

***Students need to be available to attend all of TECH WEEK: 4:30 PM- 6:30 PM Mon Dec 4 - Thurs Dec 7

For performances: Fri Dec 8 they need to arrive at 6 PM for a 7 PM performance

Sat Dec 9 they need to arrive at 1 PM for a 2 PM matinee performance

1 parent/guardian per student is needed to volunteer for at least 1 thing to help with in regards to the production. A "sign up genius" will be shared with options.

Class Description: This class will meet on Thursdays and will focus on a different aspect of theater tech crew each week. (set design, stage management, sound, lighting, etc.) The students will put their new knowledge to practical use and serve as the actual Tech Crew for our grade 3-5 performance on Dec 8 & 9. During the last week of class it will be "Tech Week" where they work with the cast of the play to put all aspects of the performance together, with the students being the "PCA TECH" support that completes the magic that happens on stage.

Duration: 9 Weeks - 8 Thursdays, PLUS 1 wk Tech Week & Performance (open to public, tickets $10/$5)

Class Days: Oct 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov 2, 9, 16, 30 Tech Week Dec 4-7 [NO CLASS Nov 23 (Thanksgiving)]

Tech Week (mandatory): 4:30-6:30pm on: Mon Dec 4th, Tues Dec 5th, Wed Dec 6th, Dress Rehearsal: Thurs Dec 7th

2 Performances (mandatory): Friday, Dec 8, 7:00pm, Sat Dec 9, 2:00pm Matinee - open to public, tickets $10/$5

Class Time: 4:30-6:30pm

Class Length: 120 minutes

Session Fee: $240 ($30 per class)

Minimum: 6

Maximum: 12
