The Daniel Copley Temple Memorial Scholarship

Two scholarships, of $1000 each, are to be awarded to graduating seniors who will be continuing their education at a college or trade school. Seniors who have been part of the PCA family and applied their talents in support of our shows are eligible to apply.

Our goal is to recognize students who are examples of Daniel's perseverance and hard work, his love and mentoring those around him, and his propensity to serve anyone in need.

All scholarship recipients exemplify the attributes of our son Dan Temple whose memory we honor with these awards:

They are service oriented, passionate in pursuing their talents, contributors to their community, and compassionate mentors.

We also want to thank all the seniors who submitted applications and wish them all success in their college studies.

Josh Gray

Josh has been an active part of the PCA community ever since it was organized and had an acting role in Little Women.  He then volunteered to learn and run lights for “Princess King” & “Into the Woods”, and also ran sound for “Shrek” before being the assistant director for “Wizard of Oz” and returning to the stage as President Roosevelt in “Annie”. Josh also volunteered at the PCA Super Summer Adventure.  Josh will further his education at the University of Minnesota at the College of Biological Studies.

Ellie joined the cast of “Into the Woods” followed by her memorable role as Fiona in “Shrek The Musical”.  In her final show with PCA Ellie took to the stage on “easy street” as Lilly St. Regis in Annie, and also joined the PCA Choir in Feb 2020.  Ellie has served as a Peer Mentor for 7th and 8th graders as well as numerous service opportunities for her church.  Ellie will pursue her studies in political science at Brigham Young University.

Carson took to the stage in PCA’s production of “Annie” in the role of Daddy Warbucks. Carson also brought his vocal talents to the PCA Choir which he felt improved his sight-reading skills, and how to blend well with a group of singers.   Carson is an Eagle Scout and participated on a robotics team for 4 years where he had the opportunity to mentor several younger participants. Carson will continue his education at Brigham Young University after serving a 2-year mission for his church starting this summer.
